10 Romantic Things To Do With Your Girlfriend

Relationships are wonderful, but they do require work! Maintaining a relationship is a lot like maintaining your vehicle. What would happen to your car if you didn't take proper care of it? What If you didn't attend to it's needs, change the oil or keep the tires in check? Chances are, that once reliable car you'd take anywhere- will slowly but surely start to fail. If you take good care of your car (or relationship) then you can depend on it and know that it will get you wherever you need to go. One sure fire way to keep your relationship running smoothly, is to fuel it up with romance!

Below you will find 10 very sweet and romantic ideas to do with your girlfriend (or wife, fiancé, etc)! There are so many things that could be listed here, but I wanted to share with you my 10 favorites. I'm sure your girlfriend would love doing any of these things, and will be so surprised by your thoughtfulness.

1Romantic walk in the park It might sound cliché, but how many guys actually do this? Don't tell her where your going. Just wait until the sun is about to set, and head to your local park. Most have walking trails of some kind, and that would be perfect for a romantic evening together. When you get there she might be a little confused, just explain to her that you wanted to get out of the house and spend time together! Take her hand, and go for a walk. Tell her how much she means to you, or just enjoy whatever nice conversations arise. Make sure you hold her hand and pay attention to what she has to say. 2Go for a picnic Where we live there is a beautiful lake nearby, and even a river. So there are plenty of romantic spots to have a picnic. If you can take her on a picnic near the water, that would be great. If not, your local park or even your backyard would work. It'll still be romantic no matter what! Take a nice big blanket, and a basket or cooler with food (Think finger sandwiches, chips, drinks etc). What would make this even sweeter? Bringing or picking flowers for her! 3Pour her a bubble bath- I remember one day I wasn't feeling good and my fiancé poured me a bubble bath, and even lit two of my candles and set nearby. I was really surprised! It was so relaxing AND romantic! To top it off when I was done he brought me my towel- which he'd heated in the dryer. It definitely made me feel better, and I thought it was very sweet!

4Bake something together What could be more fun than baking something sweet and delicious together? She'll love that you want to spend time in her territory (the kitchen). Even if you don't have the best culinary skills, baking something like chocolate chip cookies, shouldn't be too difficult. While your baking together, get playful! Feed her a chocolate chip, or sneak a bite of cookie dough for her. You will have a lot of fun creating a delicious dessert together, and it's doubly sweet. Sweet of you to bake with her, and sweet to eat! Don't forget to help with clean up, it wouldn't be very romantic to leave the mess for her!

5Hershey Kisses Why not treat your girlfriend to one of the most romantic things there are, CHOCOLATE! There is something dreamy and passionate about chocolate, that is sure to stir up some love. Here's an idea- why not leave a Hershey Kisses trail for her to follow somewhere in the house? Be sure to leave a note at the end of the trail with a cute saying such as "I just love sharing all my kisses with you!" When she finds it, she'll be sure to think it was sweet and thoughtful.

6Make a list together It would be very romantic to sit down with your girlfriend and make a list together. It could be a list of the reasons you love each other, care about each other, things you find attractive about the other person, or even a list of romantic things to do together in the future. Take turns contributing to the list. It will be very romantic sharing your thoughts together and you might learn new things your partner loves or admires about you as well. The sense of working together, and sharing personal feelings will be sure to put a smile on her face!

7Dance with her Even if your not the best dancer, it doesn't take much to slow dance! There is nothing more romantic than dancing to soft music close to your partner. To make this even more romantic, play soft slow songs that you know she will enjoy. Use dim lighting, candles, etc. Make it as an extravagant as you want. 8Massage each other Nothing feels better than a nice back massage. This is one of my favorite romantic things to do with my fiancé. We will take turns massaging each other, and I really enjoy this. When he surprises me with a back massage it always puts a smile on my face. Not only is it sweet, but it makes me feel so much better afterwards. She will really appreciate this, and may even return the favor! I love using body oil, or lotion to massage his back. I really love it when he does as well. The way a massage feels when you add lotions or oils, is just ten times better in my opinion!

9Take her to the circus, fair, or carnival If there is a circus coming to town, carnival, or fair...you have hit the romance jackpot! Keep an eye out for events like this or similar ones and take her to them for a romantic evening together. So many great ideas come to mind when I think of these fun events. Winning a stuffed animal for her at the fair, going on the Ferris wheel and giving her a kiss when it rises to the top, or even feeding her cotton candy at the circus, could all be sweet things to do with your girlfriend.

10Remember your first date? Your first date is usually very memorable and special. What more romantic way to say I love you, than taking her back to where you had your first date. Why not just re-live it altogether? I remember my first date with my fiancé was at a nice little Chinese restaurant. I would love for him to take me back there someday and reminisce in good memories we once shared there. This would be really romantic! Here are some things that you may need for your romantic evening! If your planning a picnic, having a nice picnic basket will add to the romance. I would love to own one of these picnic baskets to take out when my fiancé and I have picnics. There is also a nice fold up picnic blanket in a bag that would be handy to keep in the car for such outings. Don't forget the tea light candles too! These are super romantic, and are great for putting around the tub when making her bath, or around the bed when giving her a massage. You could even light a few of these if you plan on slow dancing with her for a soft lighting that is sure to be romantic.
