My Top 10 Favorite Samsung Galaxy S4 Cases

For Valentine's Day I got the Samsung Galaxy S4, which I am absolutely in love with. Like most people, the first thing I wanted to do was buy a case for it. Aside from the importance of protecting your phone, they are also a fun way to express yourself too. I love turquoise, owls, abstract designs, and beautiful art (so I was looking for cases that fit those likes). Unfortunately when I got to the mall, I realized that the selections there were fairly slim pickings. I managed to find a case that I liked, but I was really looking for something more. I spent over $40.00 on mine, along with a screen protector, only to get home and see that there was a bigger selection to choose from online (and much cheaper prices as well). So this is my wishlist, and top 10 favorite cases that I hope to get in the future. These really are the best Samsung Galaxy S4 cases I have found so far!

I seen this case and I fell in love with it, I really like the rustic look it has. As you can see the goldish tint even gives an antique feel to it. I love the pattern they used, even though I normally don't like a lot of floral. I really love turquoise mixed with orange, I think those colors look really pretty together. This case is really cheap, and has pretty good reviews. It's a hard case, and just snaps right on. I had to add this to my wishlist, because of the warm colors and pretty design.

Did I mention I am a huge owl lover? When I was a little girl I found this neat little owl statue which turned out to be a vintage Avon perfume bottle. That is the first time I remember really noticing them, but after finding that I became fascinated by owls. Turns out my Grandmother collected them too, so it must be in my blood I guess.

I really love the new modern take on this lovely bird, and this case is no exception. I am so glad I found this one for my Samsung Galaxy S4, I didn't realize how many different styles they have for it. I love the colors that are used, and the design is really cute. I looked at several owl cases but this is the best one I found. It's really affordable too, which is always a plus!

I have always been a big fan of Batman, so when I found this case I was overjoyed. This is definitely getting bought in the near future! This is a little different than the other cases I've looked at, it's actually 3D which I think is too cool. It's made out of silicone, so it's a soft case (I think they feel nicer than the hard ones). If you are a Batman fan too, then this would definitely be a case to add to your own wishlist!

This has to be the best case I have came across. I love the multiple uses of this one. Not only is it a case, but it's a clutch and a wallet too. Turquoise is my favorite, I enjoy finding new designs in turquoise! I love that this S4 case has splashes of color, but still keeps it simple with a nice beige background.

It would be a hassle if you had to keep taking your phone out, but you don't have to take it out to use it. It has a camera hole with all the right cutouts. It's a trifold too, which I like because of the extra storage. I can keep my ID and cards in it, which is so nice. I won't have to carry my purse everywhere, especially the quick trips where I won't be needing much more than a couple cards or my phone.

I just love the way it looks, and it's functionality. Out of all these cases, this is my favorite and will be my next purchase!

I love that the Samsung Galaxy S4 has such beautiful cases, including this amazing Blue Butterfly design. Like many girls, I think butterflies are beautiful, and have always loved designs like this one. The bold colors really stand out nicely on the white background, and they picked the perfect shade of blue. Out of all the butterfly cases this one was my favorite. It's also a hard case, and snaps right on. Another great case, at a great price, well deserving of my top 10!

This is the coolest Samsung Galaxy S4 case I have came across. I love photography so I can really appreciate this fun design. It makes your phone look like a camera. I was reading about it and apparently it is shatterproof, and even helps reduce the chance of losing signal too (because of the material it's made out of I think). I love the fact that it is scratch resistant as well, but all things aside- this case really does look incredibly cool! I know the photographer in me is screaming for this one!

I love peacocks, to me they are the most beautiful birds. I've had a passion for peacock inspired art since I was a little girl. I love just about anything designed with their beautiful feathers. I especially love this neat abstract design. The cool colors really catch your eyes, and after seeing this case- I definitely want to add it to my collection!

A lot of people really like the zigzag designs here lately, and I've seen several people sporting them. I am not a huge fan of the new zigzag fad, but I really do like this teal/green colored one. When I see the anchor it has a religious meaning for me, because I view God as my anchor. So when I found this cute zigzag case with the anchor, and one of my favorite colors- I had to add it to my list. I love the fact that it has a kickstand built in, which mean I can prop my phone up too. I love finding things that have multiple functions like this one! For some reason I haven't seen a lot of cases with kickstands, but I think they would be really handy and wonder why there aren't more available?

I love the Otterbox cases because of the ultimate protection that they provide. Having a one year old who loves to grab at my phones, this is the ideal case for me. I'm stubborn though, so I tend to get the cute and less expensive cases- but I really do need to get a good Otterbox. The only downside to buying them is that they have less designs to choose from, but I found this purple and blue one, and I think it's a lot cuter than most I have seen. If I get an Otterbox for my Samsung Galaxy S4, it will be this one.

I like the simple design, and I do love these two colors together. If you don't know much about this brand of cases, it's really the best that you can get in terms of protecting your phone. It has so many layers, including a screen protector and a polycarbonate layer. This is the only brand of cases that my fiancé will use because it's so sturdy. This one comes with a holster, belt clip, and kickstand!

They are a little more expensive, the ones I seen at the mall were anywhere from $60-$100, but you can get this one on Amazon for less than $40 and it includes free shipping.

I like this a lot, I typically don't do scary looking skulls- but this is a very cheerful and colorful tribal design. I love how it stands out, and I like the jewels in it's eyes. I think this is a really unique case, and I do want to get this for my Samsung Galaxy S4. I think out of all the tribal designs, and definitely out of all the skull designs I've seen- this is the best case. It's only $6.95 and I believe it's free shipping too. Something like this would cost me at least $40.00 in the mall! That is one thing I love about Amazon, they sell high quality and it's usually VERY cheap prices.

With smartphones now costing hundreds of dollars, many people are seeking brands like Otterbox (who offer very high quality protective cases) to cover their phones. I really want the best protection for my new Galaxy S4, but I really love the cute designs that the more flimsier cases offer. I bought a screen protector to go with my case, but I know that an Otterbox would be the safest bet for me.

That's why I'd like your opinion Do you think a simple case is enough- or do you rely solely on brands like Otterbox for the best protection? This is a case of Quality Vs. Style!

If you aren't getting an Otterbox, I recommend you get a good screen protector to go with your case. Some cases come with screen protectors, but it has been my experience that most of them don't. Here is a great video that will teach you how to put a screen protector on your Samsung Galaxy S4.
